Aaliyah Khan is a third year PhD candidate in the Rappe group at the Chemistry Department. Her research topics include looking at how light interacts with materials through modeling and simulations and the interactions at material surfaces and interfaces through molecular dynamics. Aaliyah is serving at the Vice President of Operations, a newly defined role that entails handling the logistics of meetings and ensuring we can have awesome happy hours.

When not staring at a computer screen all day, Aaliyah likes to read (real books) and listen to audiobooks and podcasts, explore the Philadelphia food scene, and go on nature walks.
